Bryan Branly - E-RYT 500

I am an experienced RYT 500 yoga teacher. Before yoga I was a competitive athlete in soccer and track & field, as well as a daily strength trainer.  A serious skiing accident in 2006 changed the emphasis of my training from outer to inner strength. Yoga became the obvious choice for long-term mental & physical health.

I teach Hatha, Vinyasa, Power and Hot Yoga with an intelligent mix of Iyengar and Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga. My classes include posture work with emphasis on breath, mindful meditation and a final relaxation. I teach all levels -- from absolute beginners to advanced level students.  My classes are fun, and I put additional emphasis into creating a class atmosphere that cultivates positive results.


From Iyengar yoga, I incorporate the attention to detail and understanding of body mechanics to the postures. This includes the optional use of props so that I can easily cater to different levels of strength, experience and flexibility.  From Ashtanga Vinyasa flow I introduce a wide variety of postures all linked together in a continuous flow.  I incorporate this aerobic workout with warming breath.  My smart sequences increase strength, flexibility, energy and awareness.  I am an active student as well, taking classes all over California (and the world) to better understand ongoing trends and evolving knowledge.


My sequences are also designed to safeguard against any injuries my clients have. My postures are easily adapted to suit any level of student, as I provide modifications along the way.  If a student can't connect with a posture, there is always a more accessible option that I make available for each pose. By having this option I can better challenge my students to push their limitations and find the strength within themselves.


My passion is teaching clients how to use their body and breath as a gateway for inner exploration.  I aim to inspire my clients to improve overall wellness and commit to long-term health and fitness goals.
